Praise for and Seen Reading

Back in the heady middle days of book blogging, I stumbled across a site like no other: Seen Reading. My trade was in the interesting and unique, and this certainly was both. With Seen Reading, Julie Wilson has done something revolutionary for the time: seamlessly combine books-related gossip, arts reportage, and creative writing in every post. The results are exhilarating and deliciously voyeuristic.

Seen Reading is an homage to the power of books in people’s lives and an homage to readers . . . a significant and timely addition to our literature . . . an optimistic book that shows us the poetry and potential in the simplest things that we do.

Seen Reading explores reading in public as an emotional experience. The physical books chart an internal journey while readers venture to and from their destinations. Seen Reading is a whimsical, charming and thought-provoking book best read in public.
