Well, hello! No, no. You’re in the right place. It’s me, Seen Reading! How do you like the digs? Everything’s pretty much the same. You’ll see some new pages. Those are to keep you up-to-date on the other projects I’m working on. Feel free to poke around. There are still a few renos to be finished, so if you come across any doors that don’t work, try back again in a week or so. They’ll open eventually.
What’s new and exciting? For a start, some of you are hearing my voice for the first time. You like? For those who can’t, what you’re reading here is exactly what I’m saying in the podcast. That won’t change. What will be a bit different is that instead of posting Monday through Thursday of each week, I’ll post new entries Tuesday through Thursday leading up to “Free for All Fridays” when I dip into the archives - over 350 entries deep - to revive some of my favourites complete with podcast. Do I take requests? Heck ya! If you have an entry you’d like to hear me read, just fire me a note at [julie at seenreading dot com.] And, so you won’t miss an entry, why not subscribe to the podcast? Listen to it while you’re on the subway for a many layered experience. But, please, don’t listen to it while riding your bike. This isn’t Seen Reading Schmucked, after all.
What else can I tell you?
You see that banner there on the right? If you’d like to see your banner there, again, fire me a note at [julie at seenreading dot com.] Why advertise on Seen Reading? Well, you’re reading it, aren’t you? And you’re pretty cool, right? Who would I like to see advertising on Seen Reading? Publishers. Indie bookstores. Radio peeps. And, hey, if you happen to be Moleskine, I’m pretty sure we can work something out. How much does it cost? Shockingly little. You could say, that for the next few months, I’m practically giving it away.
Anything else?
OH! Stay tuned for details on Seen Reading’s first ever contest! Do you remember orienteering? Running around in forests, looking for flags, doing that whole punchy thing? Then you’re off, compass in hand, to the next flag? Somewhere in there you took a nasty fall and got introduced to iodine and now you have an unreasonable fear of school nurses. But this will be fun! Let’s just say, if you’re a fan running around outside and getting things for free, say, lots of books, you’re going to love this contest! It’s an outdoor literary adventure where the cache could be anything. Maybe even the book’s author! For those who prefer the quieter indoors, the day will round up with readings and the chance to win the entire library of books used during the adventure. I’ll report back when all the details are in place. Til then, start hydrating!
There we are. Come back tomorrow for a fresh new entry. I’ve recorded podcasts for the last few entries, so be sure to check them out.
Be seeing you!
Julie Wilson (I really am reading this word for word.)
Bye bye!

Don’t have the sound, but I can hear your voice in my head well enough. I’ve told all the other voices to pipe down so I can hear you better.
